Cora's December Performances

This December we had two occasions to be extremely proud parents of our 3 year old Cora. In October, we received the outsanding gift of a family Steinway piano from my great-grandmother's side of the family. Not only are we honored to have this piece of family history, but we get to add to the music making in our home. Cora started taking piano lessons in October from a woman at church and has thouroughly enjoyed learning rhythms and her "tunes". She successfully played in her first recital!

  A little nervous

I played a duet with my Daddy! He was the one to play a wrong note :)

Exhausting day!

Cora's second performance was in her preschool play of "Twas the Night Before Christmas". All the 3 year olds played "toys" in Santa's pack, and Cora was a toy cowgirl! The videos show her introduction and one of the songs. She learned so many Christmas songs this year she could have been a radio station! She really liked hearing about the Christmas story this year too, and one of my favorite Cora quotes illustrates how linked Mary and Joseph are in her mind.
Me:"Let's sing some merry tunes."
Cora:"Can we sing some Joseph tunes too?"
